I never thought I was a skirt person, until I came across this style from Australian Designers, Manning Cartell. The sister trio behind Manning Cartell have always managed to create pieces that are timeless, unique and extremely wearable, which is why my wardrobe consists mostly of their designs. Dressed down with boots and my favourite Nike t-shirt or dressed up with heels and a crop top, this skirt is something I will have forever.
It has been a year of coats for me, and this Jac and Jack trench is by far my favourite. Easily dressed up or down, it transforms your outfit with next to no effort. Lightweight, comfortable and with a gorgeous cut, I will definitely be wearing this for years to come.
Continuing on my shoot for MVE Boutique, this has to be one of the most comfortable looks I’ve worn (ever)! I love this Maurie & Eve jumper and the Asilio drop crotch pants. I also don’t plan on taking these Sol Sana slides off all summer – they go with everything and even rival thongs in the comfort department.
Having recently discovered MVE Boutique in Heidelberg, I was lucky enough to shoot some of their latest looks with my best friend (and photographer) Katie Bull. These One Teaspoon jeans are incredible – and would be a perfect spring must have whether dressed up or down.
I’ve always loved Therese Rawsthorne’s modern design, and I have been obsessed with this jacket ever since I managed to pick it up at a Green With Envy sale two years ago. The leather is incredible, and it has become a staple winter piece that I know I will love for years to come. Fitted with shoulder pads and tailored to an incredible box cut, it’s simple enough to throw on over anything and unique enough to always make a statement. Investing in quality statement pieces, like this jacket, is a great way to create the perfect foundation wardrobe.
Speaking of sales, I also managed to get these Kenzo boots for a steal at Opening Ceremony. They can be dressed up or down, and you’d be surprised at how versatile the pattern can be. I love clashing my colours and prints, so they are an awesome addition to my (ever growing) shoe family.
Wearing: Kenzo Boots, Zimmermann Tunic, Therese Rawsthorne Jacket, General Pants Hat, Sportsgirl Bag.
I’ve certainly jumped on the Air Max bandwagon recently and this new pair (that I was lucky enough to receive from two of my closest friends for my birthday) are my new favourites. As I become more and more comfortable with the idea of wearing jeans and sneakers, I can guarantee there’ll be a few more sports luxe-inspired posts to come.
I had also been on the prowl for a long grey coat and this piece from Veronica Maine’s AW14 collection is my idea of perfection. Made from wool and cashmere, it’s light but still warm, and can literally be thrown on over anything. Investing in a few full length coats for winter will ensure you get through the cooler months in style!
One of my favourite things about winter is winter fashion. I have an obsession with long (grey) coats, oversized knits and chunky scarves – all of which make dressing throughout the cooler months incredibly easy. Throwing on a full length coat is an easy way to dress up any drab winter outfit, whether it’s with jeans or over a dress.
A great pair of over the knee boots are also an awesome winter staple. Exercising caution when it comes to styling, I’d opt for a suede pair over anything patent to avoid looking like a hooker. Keep skin on show to a minimum, because in this case less is really less.
